Ms Leah Queit
Leah is a qualified Nutritionist and Dietitian. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Nutrition and a Post-Graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She has over 10 years of experience in paediatric nutrition and dietetics. She is an accredited practising dietitian and accredited practising sports dieitian.
She is highly skilled in managing the dietary aspects of Paediatric specific gastro-intestinal conditions alongside the consultant gastroenterologists in Perth and practising at Perth Paediatrics. These include but are not limited to; coeliac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, food allergies, food intolerances, functional gastrointestinal disorders such as constipation and irritable bowel
syndrome. At Perth paediatrics Leah works alongside a multidisciplinary team in managing children with constipation. This team includes a specialist physiotherapist, psychologist, gastroenterologist as well a surgeon.
Her expertise and areas of interest extends from infant, childhood andadolescent nutrition. She is a specialist in mealtime issues including; growth faltering and fussy eating. She is also specialised in sports nutrition, postnatal nutrition and weight management.
Being a parent she is strongly dedicated to working and supporting children and their families in a family focused approach. She is committed to supporting her patients and their families to achieve optimum nutritional habits to support growth, development as well as improve gastro-intestinal symptoms and outcomes for her patients through dietary manipulation.
Leah works part time as a senior clinical dietitian at Perth Children’s Hospital. Her experience extends to her previous work with children and adults in
London where she worked at Evelina’s Children Hospital and the prestigious Bupa Cromwell Hospital.
